FAQ

Is Breath of Love same as Rebirthing Breathwork?

Breath of Love work is based on the rebirthing breathwork technique. Nevertheless, it is important to remember that there are many different facilitators and teachings that have arisen from Rebirthing Breathwork.

Rebirthing Breathwork has become a common word in the breathwork community so it is important to specify what kind of rebirthing breathwork one is talking about.

Breath of Love style tends to be rather gentle and soft, making the deepening, letting go, and opening as easy and effortless as possible. It's about teaching life skills and creating new habits that allow us to cope with everyday challenges with an open-heart and effortless grace.

Do Breath of Love sessions require a lot of effort on my part?

In order for the repressed discomfort, pain or fears to release some people do experience weirdness and intensity in the first couple of sessions. They might not call it necessarily gentle.

The purpose of Breath of Love work is to teach one's body to open to the endless amount of healing energy (Universal Intelligence) through ease and gentleness. Sometimes it takes several sessions before people start trusting and realizing how easy and enjoyable it is to let go of control and surrender to the flow of energy.

At first there is a lot of control and habitual resistances that they need to dis-identify from. That sometimes can feel like 'effort'. Yet, what we are really doing is letting go of the habitual effort and subconscious control strategies. They have become so automatic that they feel almost comfortable. Yet, once we let go of this 'fake' comfort we realize what a true effortlessness feels like. The normal 'comfort' becomes blissful radiance of deep peace, and our limited self-perception expands into endless self-love and appreciation.

So, I do sometimes tell people that in the beginning it might feel weird, and it will require a clear intent (almost effort) on their part to encourage the body keep breathing and allowing the energies release. The more one does it the more they understand the safety and ease of it. That's when the surrender will unveil its true meaning which is effortlessness, simplicity, ease and gentleness.
